When Anna Bradshaw wakes up in a hospital bed in London, she remembers nothing, not even her loving husband, Stephen。 The doctors say her amnesia is to be expected, but Anna feels cut adrift from her entire life。

In Bristol, Livvy Nicholson is newly married to Dominic and eager to get back to work after six months’ maternity leave。 But when Dominic’s estranged mother appears, making a series of unnerving claims, Livvy is sucked into a version of herself she doesn’t recognise。

A hundred miles apart, both women feel trapped and disorientated, and their stories are about to collide。 Can they uncover the secret that connects them and reconstruct their fractured lives?

At first I wasn't sure about this book and then I kept getting icky vibes and needed to continue to see what was going to happen。 It was intense at times and I was able to figure out the twist。 Definitely recommend。 At first I wasn't sure about this book and then I kept getting icky vibes and needed to continue to see what was going to happen。 It was intense at times and I was able to figure out the twist。 Definitely recommend。 。。。more

A wonderful surprise。 I had never heard of this book or author。 Engaging, compelling story with an ending I didn't see coming。 Beckerman carefully builds the story, layer by layer, which leads the reader to suspect more and more pieces of the puzzle as the story goes one。 I couldn't put this one down。 A wonderful surprise。 I had never heard of this book or author。 Engaging, compelling story with an ending I didn't see coming。 Beckerman carefully builds the story, layer by layer, which leads the reader to suspect more and more pieces of the puzzle as the story goes one。 I couldn't put this one down。 。。。more

A good story but too longThe ending of the story was good but the constant switching between the lives of the two women was distracting。 So little happened in each chapter in most of the book that I skipped several chapters in the middle。 This is not my style of storytelling but anyone who likes the duality might enjoy it。 I just wanted to get to the end。

A page turnerThis is a fast read because you just have to know what happens next。 I gave it five stars for that reason alone。 I needed a diversion from my life and this book fit the bill! Thanks!

Wow!!!This is a brilliant story, well written, slowly paced, building to a completely unexpected twist at three end。 I really enjoyed reading this。

Just a wonderful book。 So well written and never a dull moment from start to finish。 Definitely a 5+ star read。

I had high hopes but ultimately found it predictable and realised quickly what was occurring。 That being said it was still an enjoyable read

Really I give it 4。5。 This book got its hooks in me from the start, and had me hooked until the very end。

Learning who you are is always importantNo spoilers。Well-written。 I was VERY frustrated with one character ~ and another made me pretty angry, which is what was intended, I'm sure。 Without giving anything away, I had a feeling what happened was what was happening, but seeing it play out was just WOW。For those who like to know: God's name in vain scattered throughout, mostly no profanity until the end (then a handful of f-bombs, no sex scenes, no overtly obvious violence (but some introduction to Learning who you are is always importantNo spoilers。Well-written。 I was VERY frustrated with one character ~ and another made me pretty angry, which is what was intended, I'm sure。 Without giving anything away, I had a feeling what happened was what was happening, but seeing it play out was just WOW。For those who like to know: God's name in vain scattered throughout, mostly no profanity until the end (then a handful of f-bombs, no sex scenes, no overtly obvious violence (but some introduction to early stages of domestic violence)。 。。。more

A fast, pretty fun to read domestic thriller。 Even if it telegraphs where it’s going along the way。 Take this with a grain of salt — jet lag insomnia combo may have influenced me。

lol this was one of Amazon’s March free books and I guessed the plot twist immediately upon reading the second chapter and finished it to ensure I was correct - I was

Just Wow!!!Loved it all! What a plot twist! So surprising at times and then a lot of familiarity in my life led me to figure out the truth in it all! Kinda had a Dominic in my life at some point! Wonderful book!

An easy read, but the “answer” became somewhat obvious about halfway through (in my opinion)。 Enjoyable nonetheless

3。5 - was a bit slow until the second half

I was so confused the whole time I was reading it because I felt like I had already read this story before but I cannot for the life of me place where。 That was disorienting。 Livvys character was set up well and believable with the amount of oversight Dominic had on her along with her hesitation to see the issues/deny them。 Annas ‘character’ was not that believable for me as who wouldn’t ask more questions if you couldn’t remember everything? For example IN the hospita where is my phone and ring I was so confused the whole time I was reading it because I felt like I had already read this story before but I cannot for the life of me place where。 That was disorienting。 Livvys character was set up well and believable with the amount of oversight Dominic had on her along with her hesitation to see the issues/deny them。 Annas ‘character’ was not that believable for me as who wouldn’t ask more questions if you couldn’t remember everything? So captivating! Unique storyline with lots of questions along the way。 I was determined to figure out the connection between the two narrators, and having different perspectives makes the story much more engaging。 Loved it

Way too slow and predictable。 Figured it out at halfway point and the end was so anticlimactic and disappointing。 Pass on this one。

I thought it was good。 I figured out what was going on halfway through the book, but it didn't take away from enjoying the story and wanting to find out what happened next。 It dragged on a bit, but it still made me turn the pages。 I thought it was good。 I figured out what was going on halfway through the book, but it didn't take away from enjoying the story and wanting to find out what happened next。 It dragged on a bit, but it still made me turn the pages。 。。。more

a brilliant depiction of a wife’s inner worldAn amazing book, the inner thoughts and feeling are written in sublime language。 At first I thought i would tire of it but the pages kept turning and I was utterly gripped。 I’m now on my second novel by Hannah and can only describe her use of metaphor as masterful! Many a time I have deleted a kindle book after a few pages。 Beckerman is way out of this league。 Her first page gripped me like no other book in the last 5 years and I have read plenty。 I w a brilliant depiction of a wife’s inner worldAn amazing book, the inner thoughts and feeling are written in sublime language。 At first I thought i would tire of it but the pages kept turning and I was utterly gripped。 I’m now on my second novel by Hannah and can only describe her use of metaphor as masterful! You guys, THIS BOOK!! I’m in that sticky place of not wanting to give too much away but also wanting you all to know just how brilliant it is - and it really bloody is!!First of all, it’s one of the most addictive books I’ve ever read。 I started around lunchtime, and usually I need a nap not long after but I just kept telling myself ‘one more chapter’ and 3 hours and 3 fitness tracker bleeps to get off my bum later, it was finished。 Every chapter had me desperate for more, and I couldn’t rest un You guys, THIS BOOK!! This novel features an incredibly controlling and manipulative character and I’m pretty sure my blood pressure was up every time he spoke - Hannah has just nailed that slow and subtle way that controlling men have of eroding your confidence and isolating you from others。 And then there was the plot twist, and the use of an unreliable narrator with memory loss to really keep the reader on their toes - I expected one thing then realised it was totally different。 It’s just such an incredibly clever, powerful and emotional novel and I honestly cannot recommend it enough 👏 。。。more

A simple book, cleverly done with the now traditional timeline but with a twist I didn't get until near the end。 I simply enjoyed it。(An aside -- I was charmed by a character saying she was moving to the other side of the country so far away-- and it was 100 miles, lol。 England distance vs US。) A simple book, cleverly done with the now traditional timeline but with a twist I didn't get until near the end。 I simply enjoyed it。(An aside -- I was charmed by a character saying she was moving to the other side of the country so far away-- and it was 100 miles, lol。 England distance vs US。) 。。。more

I thought I knew the plot twist the entire book。 I was totally wrong。 What a great book。

This was a free Kindle download so I guess I got what I paid for。 The plot was tired, and the characters were predictable and boring。 The writing was okay, but overall would have been better with less words and more energy。 Nothing here to remember, but easy to forget!

Ok you have to suspend your disbelief a tad, I was constantly thinking, Oh god why doesn't she。。。。。 well I cant say because I will spoil it, and I can forgive the ending ( after the brilliant big reveal) being a bit meh。 It races along nicely drawing you in hook line and sinker, as you try and figure out what on earth is happening, I absolutely loved it!
